Perfect Day for a Beach BBQ

Woke up yesterday with the sun in my face. Our bedroom blinds aren't really very good at being blinds. Clear day, in the 70's and my husband had a Union BBQ to cook for down at a nearby beach.
He marinated meat all night and then got up early and hauled the trailer grill down there. The kids and I and Mom didn't head that way until later. When we arrived, Little J. saw Daddy standing in the bbq smoke and ran to meet him. At one point I looked over and there were 7 guys hovering over the bbq. How many guys does it take to turn some chicken???
Little J was SO looking forward to his Kobe beef hotdog! He said it was really big and really good.
The beach was super crowded, you can see snowy Mt. Rainier in the distance. A lot more people showed up for the union picnic this year too.
We had a terrific time sitting in the sun and collecting rocks and playing in the sand. Here's Mom posing with the kids.
KN was making fairy wings out of sand and then laying on top of them so she could become a fairy. We left the beach late afternoon and Mom got us all ice cream on the drive home. We arrived home to 80 degree weather - not as breezy as the beach and got ready for church company to arrive. Very nice day indeed!

Hi Autumn, What pretty weather to be outside for a bbq. That's gorgeous to see the snowy mtn. in the background. Your children are growing so tall! Hope the week ahead is full of many blessings.

"How many guys does it take to turn some chicken???" I think it is about 99 percent of the fellows at the particular gathering. The other one is indisposed somewhere. Or getting something out of the back of his truck to show the guys.
