Spike found himself a new spot to sleep all day. Resting up for his late night prowl on top of the counters for left out Christmas goodies.

Last week my mom came over so we could do some baking together. The two shorties got a spot at the counter where they could observe 'Grandma' making lefse. And eat some lefse dough.

I'd been pretty hungry for some lefse lately and ate most of this batch by myself. I know, I'm a pretty lucky girl.

Then it was sprinkle time! We had a few cookies receive half a bottle of sprinkles on them by Little J.

He took one bite out of each of his cookies before moving on to decorate the next.

Christmas cookies should be colorful!

Tonight we worked on something else. A gingerbread village. Little J could hardly contain himself. He sat on top of the counter cheering on his sister as she put each piece of candy on her little house. Then he'd cry out to me " I look with my EYES Mom! Look with my EYES!" Which meant he was assuring me he wasn't trying to touch it all with his fingers. At least when I was looking.

Spike looks pretty comfy!
What wonderful family time together! Those cookies look delicious! We used to have a cat who loved sleeping on the tree skirt under the tree. I think she thought we put the tree up just for her so she could sleep under it. Merry Christmas to you and your family! :)
Christmas cookies should be colorful! Today is our baking day. and brining day. Merry Christmas!

Spike is so pretty! Looks like y'all have been having lots of fun! Great jobs on the gingerbread houses! Merry Christmas!!!
Thanks for sharing... It seems 2 year olds are alot alike. Hunter goes through the cookies in the same manner. One bite and then off to the next one. You have to watch him if it is not his own...he will put them back for someone else to try also. We had the best time with the kids this year.Hunter was so impressed with all the gifts. He kept saying WOW... Hunters turn? And then he would get a gift for Ellie so he could have one too.
