After the family reunion,
CT's birthday and an assortment of odd things to do around here, we had a very full weekend to tackle. I headed over to the
Lavender Festival Saturday morning to hang out with my mom at her booth where she was spinning and selling her wool crafts. Aren't her little sheep cute up above? A sheep dog actually came over to her booth and jumped up on the table and knocked them all over.
We left the festival early so we could head over to the party celebrating the life of our dear friend Pam Miller who just lost her battle with lung cancer. Below is her State Fair jacket and all her pins for all of the years she worked there. It was a terrific celebration of her life and good to see all the people there who loved her as well.
The kids enjoyed seeing some of their friends, Pam's friends at the memorial.
Sunday morning we left for the Seattle Bug Safari to spend the afternoon there for our 2 nephew's and 2 son's birthdays. All in July.
There were lots of creepy crawlies like this big guy ( a bird eating spider ) to look at. This one was the size of a rat.
On our way home from Seattle we swung into the
Lavender Festival so Little J. could see up close and personal, one of his favorite things - fire trucks!
He was in heaven.
We stuck around for a bit to watch a bee hive demonstration and to visit with Mom, Dad and the cousins.
And take some photos in the
lavender field.
We left from there to return home, make a big salad and head over to our neighbor's house for a campfire and barbecue. Busy days but lots to enjoy!

Oh my goodness! You have been busy! That spider is seriously scary looking. YIKES!
Sheep dogs don't discriminate between full size or miniature sheep , do they? If it looks like, and smells like a sheep, well then it IS a sheep.
Thanks for helping out.I am glad you got a picture of Pam's 4H outfit. She is already missed. I want you to throw a party like hers when I pass on, what a wonderful time sharing with her friends and family.
