Warm on the Inside

The wood stove at our new house is about half the size of the wood stove at our old house. We were curious to find out how well it would heat the house and how many logs we could fit into it. After a week now of heating the house with the stove, I'm pleasantly surprised and happy to say that this little guy heats the whole house within an hour and using only 5 to 7 logs. After that we're all shedding our sweat shirts and cracking open the windows. Here's to saving money on the electrical bill!!

1 cup Karo syrup
1/2 cup water
Stir all together and cook over medium heat until it boils. Stop stiring and cook to 280 on candy thermometer Now Add:
3cups peanuts slowly
Peanuts should be room temperature,not cold.COOK until candy thermometer reaches 300. Watch carefully. Take off heat add 2 teaspoons soda mix in and be carefull it bubbles up now pour in to 2 buttered -12inch pizza pans. i use a 3-4 quart heavy pan to cook in.; October 28, 2012 at 1:04 PM
