Family Visit

I was able to get together with my former classmates last week. I guess I should add that my former classmates are also two of my best friends. Okay, I guess I should also add that my former classmates are also my brothers. Mom and I and my four kids drove the 6 hours East to spend five days at my brother's house. We had such a great time with the kids - two legged and four legged!

Here, the two oldest, challenge each other to a badminton game.

Here the two 5 year old's pose in the new rocking chair we'd just put together for 'Aunt Breezy'.This was MN's first time riding a horse. Here she's riding Oakley with Uncle Daniel.

The kids also got to ride 'fat little Snickers' as KN called him. He's a pony who is just being boarded at my brother and sis in law's house. KN really liked riding the horses.

Here is my mom with all eight of her grandkids. At this very moment there are two 7 year olds, two 5 year olds, a 9 , 8, and 3 year old and a 10 month old.

The highlights of the trip for the kids was playing in the 'fort' which was out in the back pasture in a row of trees, swimming in the horse trough, playing the electric key board and riding the horses. CT loved riding the tractor with Uncle Daniel.

So the only morning person in this photo is Daniel and this was taken VERY early in the morning right before the boys took off for the dump. Great time to snap a picture of mom with her three kids!

The highlights of the trip for me was seeing and listening to my brothers and Breezy - always fun to hear what they have to say, seeing just how much we are still alike and a little bit different too!, Playing with my nieces and getting to know them as they grow ... oh ...

... and of course, no road trip would be complete without the stops at Burger King!!!
