We were very excited when we learned I was pregnant with our 4th child. What made it even better was when we got the phone call from my husband's sister that she was pregnant with her very first baby!!!! We counted out the weeks and discovered we would be due the same day - give or take a few. Pregnancy is much more fun when you have a close friend or family member to go through it with. Later we found out we were both expecting boys!
Our son was born 6 days before his due date and our nephew hung in there until 6 days after his due date. Our son weighed 8 lbs 4 oz at birth ~ our nephew weighed 8 lbs 3 oz at birth. We think the extra ounce our son had was his hair.
Here they are at 2 months old.
Here are the boys at one year old! It's fun to watch them interact, to see their differences and similarities and just like with our pregnancies, it's fun to compare doctor visits, growth charts and milestones. These two cousins are likely to spend many birthday's together and hopefully will become great friends.

Both sides of his family have a history of extended family closeness (at least from my view anyway) that and the birthday proximity is pretty much a guarantee of lifelong closeness.

That is great - they will always be close I am sure. That tickled me when you said the extra weight was hair!!! They are both precious blessings.
What sweet pictures, I bet they will grow up to be very close. We were very close to our cousins growing up but now we all live in different areas and rarely see each other.
So cute and so precious. How lucky for them to have each other to grow up together with.
